Meowth was born on a dark and stormy night to his house-Persian mother, who was owned by an eleven-year old boy, he had five siblings, all of which were given to friends of the boy and his family, but nobody wanted Meowth. He was finally left alone in a basket full of newspaper in a park with a sign that said, “TAKE ME,” it stormed that night and the sign fell off and washed away. Meowth was alone, scared, wet, and cold. He wanted to go home to his loving mother whom was forced away from her children. She cried for them and worried about them constantly, wishing she could be with them again. Meowth wanted to go to her and remind her that she still had him, the last baby kitten. Little did the sad, tiny Meowth know he was never to go home again.

Meowth quickly learned to dig for food in drive in Movie Theater trash cans, he came always to watch the shows for entertainment and take the left over food that people threw out. Meowth saw dozens of different movies of all kinds, horror movies that kept him up at night, funny movies that had him laughing in his dreams and romantic movies. After seeing on particular movie Meowth decided to go to the big city where movies came from. He wanted to star in movies. Before he left he practiced all kinds of dramatic scenes. At night Meowth stared at the moon thinking of the life that awaited him in the big city.

Meowth went to a agency who immediately cast him out with know where to go, after a few weeks of almost starving to death and eating only what scraps he could find in trash cans and stuff dropped on the street a Persian came up to him. The Persian was head of a Meowth gang he was offering him a place in the gang. He saw hope in the lost, scared Meowth. Meowth decided accept seeing as he had nowhere else to go. Meowth went with the Persian to the Meowth gang’s hideout. In the first couple of days with the Meowth gang, the other Meowth’s were very hostile to Meowth. After a week or two though Meowth became very good at stealing from every one of the local butcher shops and produce stores. The Meowth gang became very fond of Meowth and soon saw them as an equal, Meowth often told him about all of the movies he had seen, he would tell them stories to scare them or make them laugh or cry. Meowth began to fit in very well with the Meowth gang; almost all of them loved him. They were family.

One day when Meowth was out roaming the town he saw another Meowth, a female; she wasn’t like the female Meowth’s in the Meowth gang, she was dressed up in jewels and ribbons and had the most beautiful eyes, the Meowths in the gang were all rigid and dirty from living on the streets. He wanted to meet the Meowth from across the street, he dashed over and told the Meowth how beautiful she was, she told him that she only liked humans and not dirty street Meowths. Then Meowth was hit upside the head by a big old lady, she told him to get away from her precious Meowsie. Then the lady talked to Meowsie, she showed Meowsie her new diamond studded Pokemon and Meowsie looked very impressed by this. The lady then called Meowsie into the Pokeball and stepped into a long car and they drove off. Meowth then decided that he would become more like a human, he used the ledge of the windowsill to make himself stand up, hurting his legs.

Later he ran off and found an old school, for weeks he tried to learn to speak like a human and walk like a human. Meowth stayed in the roof of an old school for weeks on in. Never telling the Meowth gang where he was going or what he was doing. The students recited tongue teasers and Meowth tried to say them too. The students studied dance and Meowth tried to do the moves on two feet. After to learning to walk and run on two feet Meowth found out he was a lot slower, he was always caught when the Meowth gang stole food from places. He eventually left the gang. He wouldn’t need it when he and Meowsie got married; all he would need was her. After many painful weeks of learning to stand and walk on two legs and reciting tongue teasers and reading an old letter book Meowth went back to Meowsie on the windowsill and showed her everything he had learned, convinced that she would be impressed and they would fall in love. He brought her flowers that he picked himself in the city park and tied them with a little ribbon he had found at the school. Meowsie this time told him that he was just a dirty freak Meowth and that he would never be able to have her. Then Meowsie’s trainer came over and took her away.

That night Meowth left the city and walked far away. Almost every night Meowth sang to the moon, he learned all kinds of poetry and became very smart. After months of traveling he ended up in Viridian City in the Team Rocket Pokemon Preserve. He was caught stealing food by a Rocket Grunt, later he was taken to the boss, whom was impressed at the time of a Pokemon that could walk and talk. In Meowth’s first months at Team Rocket he was treated like a god. Eventually though the boss started to see a few quirks with the talking Meowth, one being he wasn’t an evolved Pokemon, another was that he had neglected to learn some attacks known to all Meowth, such as Pay Day. Soon after the boss decided that Meowth wasn’t worth much but didn’t want to cast it away just yet in case it did pick up the attacks and evolve. The Boss decided to give it to one of his better teams in hopes that it would gain the fighting experience needed to learn the attacks and evolve.

Team Rocket Agents, Jessie Musashi and James Kojiro were called in to train the Meowth, plus for the fact that Jessie and James lacked very many Pokemon. For months their team was put in charge of many missions, they were one of the top teams in Team Rocket. They became very good friends and a perfect Team. They brought back many, many rare and valuable Pokemon back to the boss…

Until they met their bad luck charm… a ten year old kid that just started training and his Pikachu…
